Acoustic guitars come in two types. They are classical and folk acoustic guitars. The classical type of guitar has nylon strings and the folk guitar has steel strings. The difference in strings results in a difference in sound. Folk guitars are usually bigger as well, and this can go hand in hand with the extra reinforcements that are needed because of its steel strings.
